To Mini Smith

Mini Smith its 46 days till your expected arrival please don’t keep Mummy and Daddy waiting to see you! We are excited!

Before you there were silly sisters eating in fancy restaurants, before you there was engagements and weddings. Before you there were graduations and wearing funny gowns. There were trips to London and lots of eating of yummy food. (Mummy and Daddy like frozen yoghurt!) Before you there were trips to New York, American football games and shopping. Before you there were flowers and chocolates and trips to beaches to freeze ourselves in the ocean. Before you there were feet pictures, lots of feet pictures. Before you there were holidays to Florida, sunshine, pools and cocktails.

Mini Smith, Mummy hasn’t even met you, she doesn’t know whether you’re a boy or a girl, but she feels you rolling around in there and waking her up. None of these pictures are as amazing as you. They won’t compare to see your face and have cuddles from you. They won’t compare to watch you grow up and see the person you will become. You will have the most random family ever, but the most amazing family too and you will be blessed because they have chosen to be in your life.

Mini Smith you have already changed Mummy and Daddys life and we are the better for it, before you we didn’t know we could love like this. We can’t wait to see you soon x x

Pregnancy Update Week 33

How far along? 33 weeks today – ok I know on every post I say I cant believe it but seriously I cant believe we are 33 weeks today!

Baby is the size of a …  Durian Fruit – What is that?? I had to Google what one was. Apparently they can weigh anything from 2lbs to 7lbs and the smell of the fruit has been described as rotting onions, turpentine and raw sewage. Delicious!

Best moment this week? We have completed all the baby purchases!! Happy Days. The last things this past week were a baby monitor, a carrier, a playmat for tummy time and swaddle blankets.
We were also able to hang out with some friends last weekend which was great haven’t laughed so much in ages!! maybe tmi but glad the pelvic floor held up :o) The joys of pregnancy :o)
They have been the type of friends who have seen us through the high Highs and low Lows you don’t let those friends easily out of your life love them!

Miss anything? Still miss sleeping on my stomach of course! And having normal emotional reactions to things. Hormones are crazy things people resulting in crying at random times over silly things, although sometimes over not so silly things too.

Movement? Still a big YES! but more nudges and turns rather than huge kicks

Sleep? Sleep is interesting! I usually end up going to sleep at 10/11pm I wake up for around half an hour at 6am and without sounding too sloth like I end up sleeping in till 9/10am. Its like the first trimester again I cant get enough sleep!

Food cravings? Still no cravings!

What makes you queasy/sick? nope

Morning sickness? nope

Gender? I still think Mini Smith is a boy and Luke is still non committal 7 weeks till we find out.

Looking forward to .. Hanging out with my sister this weekend and going to our active birth class!

September Lovelies

1. Soap and Glory A Great Kisser Lip Moisture Balm in Juicy Peach. Smells so good I could eat it.
2. My Journal have loved catching up with journaling this month.
3. Slippers its got cold my poor little feet would drop off without these beauties from Primark!
4. Yankee Candle Mandarin Cranberry – my absolute favourite scent from Yankee Candles and as soon as the weather turned this had to go on, I have backups I love it that much!
5.Origins Mega Mushroom Skin Calming Face Mask – The weather has gotten colder and that means my highly reactive skin is feeling the brunt of change in weather. This mask is perfect for calming everything down and making the red disappear!
6. My 3 week manicure from Nails Inc the colour I am wearing is Victoria. It really does last longer than 3 weeks on the nails and I am saying that with moving fixtures, backwalls and props at work. An investment with weak bendy nails like mine.
7. Simon Schama The Story of the Jews have loved watching this on BBC. Love, love, love the Jewish people and this documentary was great may have to purchase the book as well.
8. Had to have this in my favourites Phil Wickham The Ascension a must purchase!! If you have to purchase one thing this September purchase this! Only out on Tuesday and I am sharing on Wednesday you know it must be good!

Get to know me in a random 25 questions :o)

14. Did you like school? Yes

15. Favourite Movie? Robin Hood Prince of Thieves I remember my mum renting this when I was little I was gripped! “I am going to cut his heart out with a spoon” “why a spoon cousin, Why not an axe?” “Because its dull you twit it’ll hurt more” “Point me to danger Azeem I’m ready” I could go on and on “That’s it then. Cancel the kitchen scraps for lepers and orphans, no more merciful beheadings, and call off Christmas.” (I couldn’t help myself)

21. What’s one food you cannot live without? Yorkshire Pudding – seriously my Yorkshire Puddings are really that good.

22. What quote/phrase do you live by … Love Gregory of Nazianzus quote “Give to him a little from whom who have received much, even give your all to the one who has given All to you” I don’t believe in doing things half heartedly I am very much 100% in or not at all. Black and White.

23. What’s your most listened to song on iTunes? David Crowder Band Let Me Feel You Shine.

24. Two Hobbies? Reading and blogging.

25. Two Pet Peeves? Inaction – let’s not pontificate about it make a decision and lets go with it! Avoidance – if we have an issue lets deal with it head on and then move on I can’t stand brushing things under the carpet. Both of these things make my blood boil!

Pregnancy Update Week 32

How far along? 32 weeks today last week flew by!

Baby is the size of a …  Winter Squash

Best moment this week? Has got to be the 2 nights that I have slept through the night!! I will remind myself of those 2 nights in about 5 years time :o) On a non pregnancy note I was so excited to pick up my wedding and engagement rings from the jewellers. Luke as a maternity leave gift had got them sent off to be cleaned and checked after nearly 4 years of wearing them you forget how sparkly they look at the beginning.

Miss anything? Still miss sleeping on my stomach, as well as being able to do normal everyday things without a struggle. I am out of breath now when hoovering and after a walk on Saturday with Luke which is a good distance but something we use to do half way back home I could have quite happily sat down and not took another step!

Movement? Still a big YES! but more nudges and turns rather than huge kicks

Sleep? After a horrible week 31 I cant really complain about sleep this week :o)

Food cravings? Still no cravings!

What makes you queasy/sick? nope

Morning sickness? nope

Gender? I still think Mini Smith is a boy and Luke is still non committal 8 weeks till we find out.

Looking forward to .. We are off to the wonders of Kiddicare this weekend with Lukes Mum and Dad to pick up the last few bits and pieces for Mini Smith :o)
