It’s time for another Let’s Get Healthy post, and let me warn you it has been a crazy week!
I don’t know how much this week’s weight loss was down to stress or healthy eating, my Nanna hasn’t been very well towards the end of the week so I have had a loss of appetite mainly due to anxiety over the situation.
Also I did succumb to a Chinese not your usual run of the mill one, there is a really nice restaurant 15 minutes away and Luke kindly picked up some dinner for us on Tuesday and I had leftovers on the Wednesday too. I don’t regret it, it was delicious, however Slimming World friendly probably not!
Here is hoping that this week is less eventful!
Weight Loss This Week: –2 1/2 pounds
Total Weight Lost: 12 pounds!!!
I am so excited to be sharing my new planner with you! The planner that I have chosen for 2016 is liveWell planner by Inkwell Press. There are so many reasons why I chose the liveWell here are a few;
Customer Service – After watching a few planner release fails this year, the customer service element was a huge priority. I first learnt about Inkwell Press from Samantha’s YouTube channel Happily a Housewife, I commented on her Instagram saying I wished that Inkwell would ship to the UK and low and behold Tonya the owner of Inkwell responded to me saying that they were offering a way to ship internationally this year. I was thrilled! not only was my comment not on her own social media channels, but the fact that Tonya was engaging with others was wonderful. At every point of my order, I was updated and kept informed of where it was at, how long it would be, and although I was fortunate to get my first choice, how Tonya handled the sell out of the planners has been impeccable. When someone values and takes care over there customers you can be assured that the same will be said of their product, which is why having never seen a liveWell planner in the flesh till I got my order, I was confident of it’s quality.
Paper Quality – To my knowledge there is no planner out there with better paper quality than the liveWell planner, 140gsm paper – and if your like me and have no clue what that means trust me when I say it just feels like complete luxury! I was getting very annoyed with my previous planner with shadowing, and there is no way that will happen with this planner!
Goal Setting – We can all write To Do lists and check them off but are we working to our ultimate goals? Are we living our lives purposefully? As a Christian we are reminded “to count our days, so that we will become wise” we don’t want to be wasting time, feeling busy but never achieving anything.
I love the Goal Setting and Monthly Mission boards in the liveWell planner but Tonya doesn’t leave you adrift without a clue, after the purchase of your planner you will receive e-mails with helpful How To’s to get your planner up and running!
So after my lengthy Why a liveWell planner lets take a look! I purchased the Watercolor Hexagon in a Classic (a classic is a vertical layout in the weekly spread and the flex is a horizontal layout)

So we are 5 weeks in to my Let’s Get Healthy challenge and I was struck down this week by the common cold. This may have something to do with my determination not to switch on the heating till November, and also I have discovered working out first thing keeps me quiet warm for the rest of the morning – who knew?
- Despite my cold I didn’t chose to down myself in chocolate and carbs and have stuck to plan all week.
- I think the cold has tackled any water retention I could possibly have!
- Exercise – I started the week with the best of intentions and managed a work out or two, however as I can’t breathe at the moment with this cold I don’t feel the least bit inclined to go on my cross trainer.
Weight Loss This Week: –2 pounds
Total Weight Lost: –9 1/2 pounds!!
How are you getting on with the Let’s Get Healthy challenge? This week got off to a good start, knowing that I had a few social engagements I made sure that Monday to Wednesday I got on my cross trainer and did my 2.5 miles, although eating out I made sure to look up the menu and choose accordingly so all was well.
It was towards the latter part of the week where I struggled, not down to eating the wrong foods or over eating, just in terms of actual motivation in the morning to get up and exercise, having looked at this week’s results I know I need to exercise more to speed up my weight loss as I really don’t have that much to lose to begin with.
Also water consumption has been a bit of a nightmare as well, and we all know what not drinking enough fluid does to you!
Bit of a disappointing week overall, but at least I am going in the right direction and here is to the week ahead!
Weight Loss This Week -1/2 pound
Total Weight Lost -7 1/2 pounds
