Preganancy Update 22 Weeks

Baby is the size of a … spaghetti squash

spaghetti squash

Best moment this week? Not keeping the gender a secret any longer!

Miss anything? My hips not clicking every time I walk upstairs would be good, but apart from that all is well.

Movement? A huge Yes! We discovered on our anatomy scan a few weeks ago that I have an anterior placenta which is strange because I have felt Mini Smith move from 15/16 weeks.

Sleep? I am up about 2 times in the night so I am getting well practiced for all those late night new born feeds.

Food cravings? Seedless easy peel oranges, but not just any seedless easy peel oranges Marks and Spencer seedless easy peel oranges. They are the best!

What makes you queasy/sick? All has been good in the sickness department thank goodness.

Gender? Check out our gender announcement here

Looking forward to? This week should go quiet quickly for Nathanael and I, we have booked in a few play dates and picnics and I am ever hopeful with the weather will be glorious. Whatever happens I know we will have a great time regardless!

Luke and I found out several weeks ago that Mini Smith is a …

We are beyond thrilled with the news and more importantly all seemed well on our anatomy scan too which is such a blessing.
Now for these few remaining months to fly by so we can finally meet him!

Pregnancy Update 21 Weeks

Baby is the size of a … carrot

Best moment this week? Not baby related but the best moment this week has to be my birthday! I was very much spoilt by Luke and Nathanael and I am sure some of my presents will pop up in my monthly favourites.

Miss anything? Can’t think of anything I am missing at the moment, I am in the joyous part of pregnancy.

Movement? A huge Yes! This past week Luke has felt a few kicks and jabs too which is so exciting!

Sleep? The pregnancy pillow is back! Purely to prop my expanding waistline up against. I can’t say that with or without my sleep is much improved, it varies from evening to evening.

Food cravings? Watermelon! I wouldn’t say it is a craving I just seem to pick up a pot of it whenever I am shopping. It’s not worth me purchasing a whole one as it is only me that eats it but if this continues I could change my mind!

What makes you queasy/sick? All has been good in the sickness department thank goodness.

Gender? No idea

Looking forward to? I am off to Leeds on the weekend to see my sister we have tickets at the Grand Theatre and I am sure quite a bit of shopping will be done before that too.

This week has been a great week – of course because it’s my birthday week. I was very much spoilt but keep your eyes peeled for my monthly favourites to see some of my presents!

me and Nate birthday

This past weekend my sister and brother in law were in town. Mark to go on Luke’s 30th birthday drinks and Emma to sit and eat pizza with her sister and partake in the annual Eurovision judging. I know who had more fun! Not that impressed with the winner, in true euro style I was rooting for Australia.

For a while now I have loved watching budgeting videos on YouTube. These tend to be people in a huge amount of  student debt courtesy of the American education system, although some have had consumer or medical debt.
Now I have no debt except my mortgage, but I love the dedication of these people who are living on pittance so they can throw tons of cash at their student loans or credit card debt. I also think it is extremely brave to openly share online their income with the world for it to be judged and perused by others.  These videos tend not to be edited in the fanciest way, and they don’t have 100 light boxes all over the place to make them look like a polished YouTube because their priority is getting out of debt, but I like them because they have heart! Here are some of my fave channels: Budget GirlGazelle In Tents, Our Life … On a Budget, The Former Mrs Jones, Debt Free In 123, Freedom in a Budget

Pregnancy Update 20 Weeks

Baby is the size of a … banana

Best moment this week? Luke went out this past weekend with some friends for his continuing 30th birthday celebrations. This was a win for me because my sister came over and ate pizza and watched Eurovision.

Miss anything? Energy! I think baby has gone through a growth spurt!

Movement? Yes! The kicks are getting stronger so hopefully Luke can feel them soon!

Sleep? I have ditched the pregnancy pillow for the past 2 nights and have slept through so lets see if this continues to work!

Food cravings? Donuts

What makes you queasy/sick? I have done really well this week so I am celebrating that sickness has passed!

Morning Sickness? A whole month and no sickness a joy!

Gender? No idea

Looking forward to? My birthday! Surely being pregnant on your birthday entitles you to more presents??
