Pregnancy Update 26 Weeks

Baby is the size of a … red cabbage

red cabbage

Best moment this week? I said last week that I was looking forward to my midwife appointment and little did I know that with my usual midwife being off, I got to have the midwife that I had when I was pregnant with Nathanael! I was over the moon, I love her, she is amazing and so reassuring plus we got to have a huge catch up all about Nathanael as well!
Always a wonderful feeling hearing the heartbeat again and I am measuring to schedule with my dates so at least I know I am cooking Mini Smith well!

Miss anything? Still antihistamines, but apart from that I can’t really see any downsides to pregnancy. I know I will miss my bump soon!

Movement? A Huge Yes! Mini Smith is getting attitude with the punch and kicks!

Sleep? This past week I have moved from waking up in the night to waking up at 4am, I can’t really tell what is worse interrupted sleep or waking up extremely early. I have a huge slump mid afternoon which Nathanael is enjoying because he gets to watch an episode of Paw Patrol or two!

Food cravings? Still no real cravings.

What makes you queasy/sick? All has been good in the sickness department thank goodness.

Erin Condren Life Planner 2017

This past week has seen the arrival of a gorgeously printed cardboard box arrive at my doorstop courtesy of UPS. This can only mean one thing … my Erin Condren Life Planner has arrived *squeals with delight*

I am a planner junkie, I love to plan, I love stationary, I have a random thing with pens – got this from my Grandad Ralph who was always on the hunt for a good pen – the struggle is real.
In 2015 I had an Erin Condren Planner which you can read about here, and I also had one 2013/2014.

I chose for 2016 to try the Inkwell Press planner, and as much as I adore the paper quality (there is nothing like it) I do feel for a SAHM with a toddler and baby on the way I am not putting this planner to good use. The goal section every month which I thought I would love is really for me a repeat every month as my goals are really things to do with Nate, places to go, people to see, rather than the options given.

I also missed the customisation which the Erin Condren offers which is why I knew that when launch day arrived for their 18 month Life Planner I would be ordering one as soon as possible.

So here is what I ordered:

overview

I chose the 18 month, vertical, rose gold coil with the blossom covers. I also chose the option of adding my name to the cover because it’s a rare treat to have anything with my name on it!

This is one of the joys of the Erin Condren Planner you can customise everything about it. First pick the option of inside – do you want vertical, horizontal or hourly.
Next pick the coil you want platinum (silver) Gold, Black or Rose Gold.
Then you can choose from hundreds of possible covers, as you can again customise the covers in your own colour ways or one that the designers suggest.
You can chose to add photos on the back, you can have your name or not, you can even upload your own personal photos and have a cover that is completely original to you.

What I love is that should you tire of the option you have picked, you can order another cover as all the designs are interchangeable. Talk about thinking of everything!

Here are some photos of the inside planner:

As if that wasn’t enough planner happiness in one go, I did throw a few extras in my bag as well because lets face it, I am shipping it from America so I might as well get my moneys worth!

pens

I chose to purchase the gem tone wet erase markers as the planner covers come with a dashboard you can write quick notes or to do’s on the inside.

snap in dashboards

I also picked up the snap in dashboards for planning meals. I plan my meals for the week but often change the order I am cooking things in and I loathe scratching things out in my planner, and who could ignore the mini snap in bookmarks!

elastic bands

I thought the metallic elastic band trio would really compliment my blossom cover design along with the coil so they were promptly added to my bag! As well as the gem tone elastics as well purely for me to give a thorough review for you ;o)

interchangable covers

Lastly I picked up 2 other cover designs for switching out throughout the year because how cute are they?

If you would like to receive $10 off your purchase of an Erin Condren Life Planner or other items from her website my referral link is here
They will ask you to sign up to their mailing list and you will get a $10 off your first purchase! What’s not to love about that!

Likes, Links, Things

You know that the mid week brings you more often than not my Likes, Links, Things post – hopefully where I introduce you to something new or send you off browsing some unknown corner of the internet!

Stickers

Rocky Road Recipe – This was so good!  Luke was chairing a meeting with work and that requires him to bring goodies for the team. Now I have already sent in my epic Chocolate Brownies (if I do say so myself) and the meeting was 40 miles away so my salted caramel cupcakes were out of the question. What to make, I landed on this recipe and used 85% coco solid dark chocolate. I am pleased to report that it passed my quality control test and was quiet easy to make. The only downside is leaving it in the fridge overnight when really you want to eat the whole thing!

Mac Fanfare Lipstick – I am pretty sure that this was on a monthly favourites but I can’t quiet remember because baby brain has set in! Notepads with lists are strewn around my house, I start a sentence and honestly can’t remember half the time what I was on about to begin with. Anyway I was rummaging around the 15 lipsticks that I usually carry around in my handbag – they just seem to accumulate and rediscovered this one. What a find – a brighter my lips but better colour great for spring/summer … well the supposed spring/summer at the moment but you can’t have everything.

Planner Stickers – I have had great success this past week or so with making my own planner stickers and I am really enjoying being creative in my planner in a my own way. If you asked me to draw something there is no way I could make it look what it is suppose to look like, but the joys of a computer and software is it does it for you!

My Parish Council – Ok this is a bizzare one but I really appreciate my local parish council, to be honest if I could ditch the main council and just have them I would be more than happy! They get stuff done and in a timely manner as well as being proud of our village they are always working hard to improve it. I really do enjoy reading the monthly minutes. Now obviously I am not going to point you to the village I live in but if you’re in the UK and have a local parish council why not support them and your community by having a read of what is going off and what the council is working towards.

What are some of the things you have been up to the past week or so I would love to know!

Pregnancy Update 25 Weeks

Baby is the size of a … swede

swede-630x630

Best moment this week? It has been a good week overall despite the lack of sleep which will be discussed later on. It was great to celebrate Father’s Day together I am very biased but Luke has to be the best Dad around, Nathanael loves his daddy very much “fair but fun” is Luke’s motto or “Jester Daddy” depending on Nate’s mood!

Miss anything? Still antihistamines! I didn’t really make the situation better for myself when I went on a walk with Luke and Nate and was promptly punished with allergies for 2 days.

Movement? A Huge Yes! Although Mini Smith was very annoyed with me on Wednesday and Thursday with me sneezing, He was quiet all day and then gave me a good old kicking session in the night.

Sleep? Sleep around these parts has been pretty inconsistent for a while, all this nonsense they spout to pregnant women “get lots of rest now before the baby comes” seriously?? They clearly have never had pregnancy insomnia.

Food cravings? Still no real cravings.

What makes you queasy/sick? All has been good in the sickness department thank goodness.

Pregnancy Update 24 Weeks

Baby is the size of a … ear of corn

Best moment this week? I wouldn’t say a best, but I would say I have had a very productive week. Despite hindrances which you will read about later on, energy has returned and I have been completing major To Do lists! The slight problem with this is that I compile the list for the whole week and try to complete the list by Wednesday! I just love checking things off!

Nathanael and I had a great time with our friends on a few play dates this past week. Also Luke has been working so hard on his garage project or should I say projects, it has been so great to watch it transform – I am sure he will be sharing it on his blog!

Miss anything? Still antihistamines!

Movement? A Huge Yes! To overshare I am sure he was kicking my cervix the other day – talk about feeling as if Mini Smith was about to make an appearance!

Sleep? Shocking! I wake up at about 1.30am and then stay awake till about 4.30am because try as I may, as tired as I am, I can’t get to sleep. I find this the perfect state to mother my 2 and a half year old …not.

Food cravings? Still no real cravings.

What makes you queasy/sick? All has been good in the sickness department thank goodness.
