May Favourites 2018

May is always a busy month for our household as we celebrate two birthdays and now have a half term in the mix now Nathanael is at school so appologies for the lateness! May is one of my favourite months of the year so I still wanted to share.

For TV shows I have been watching White Collar on Netflix – what a show! I really enjoyed the dynamic of Peter an FBI agent and his CI Neil.

We have visited some stunning places on our travels this month including Attingham Park, Shrugborough Estate as well as Fountains Abbey & Studley Royal. Every time we visit a heritage site I am overwhelmed by the talent and effort that went into to their creation and upkeep. I often tell the boys if this is what mans hands have accomplished just think the beauty and splendour of heaven.

I am always reading something but this months highlight has to be The Sermon on the Mount and Human Flourishing A Theological Commentary by Jonathan T Pennington. I found out about this book via a podcast and I am so pleased I did. There are so many opinions on the Sermon on the Mount and I am sure I have lost count of how many preaches I have heard on these few chapters in Matthew, however there is always more to learn! I will not read it the same way again and the 300 or so pages were over far to quickly!

As part of my birthday present my sister and I got to spend the day shopping. It was so much fun spending time with her and have a day child free!

White Company Seychelles fragrance another birthday present I was given this scent in a candle, reed diffuser and room spray. Perfect for the summer I have kept them for my office aka Smith HQ its almost as if I am on a paradise island just with the children’s noise in the background

Would it be a May favourites if I didn’t share my birthday peonies! Absolutely gorgeous thank you Luke!
