Baby is the size of a … A coconut! Now I think last weeks butternut squash is bigger than a coconut maybe this is to do with the weight of Mini Smith as well.
Best moment this week? We had our Week 34 visit with the Midwife today, its always amazing to hear Mini Smith bobbing along in the womb although uncomfortable at times!
Miss anything? Still miss sleeping on my stomach! I also miss not analysing every pain I have. For instance this week I have had major back pain to the point of the only comfortable position was sprawled over the birthing ball. Now when one had back pain before it would be “oh I have just laid funny” or ” I must have pulled something” now its “is this early signs of labour” or “is Mini Smith ok” prompting my baby monitor to come out to find that he/she is perfectly fine and I am the one turning slightly crazy. In short I miss not being paranoid. Thank heavens for a level headed husband!
Movement? Still a big YES! but more nudges and turns rather than huge kicks
Sleep? On Sunday evening I was blessed with a full nights sleep. Pure bliss! However we are back to the usual routine of waking up at 3am although this week I got to listen to The Wings of the Dove by Henry James. One of the few “American” writers that I love … perhaps because he became British!
Food cravings? Still no cravings!
What makes you queasy/sick? nope
Morning sickness? nope
Gender? I still think Mini Smith is a boy and Luke is still non committal 5ish weeks till we find out.
Looking forward to .. We have a Life after Birth class on Saturday – I don’t know who comes up with the names of these things! but that should be it in terms of classes bring on the practical!
